USA vs Honduras time, tv channels, live broadcast, odds and predictions for the Nations League semi-final
The United States national men’s soccer team is finally playing a game that matters. And anything but a victory would be a major upheaval.
USMNT will face Honduras in the Concacaf Nations League semi-final, with the winner advancing to Sunday’s title match and the loser going for third place. This is the United States’ first game in official competition since November 2019.
Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic will be back in the lineup for the Americans, who will field a side at full speed as they seek to get back on track after Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Switzerland in an exposure focus. The United States has scheduled the game against Switzerland so players can practice high in the Swiss Alps ahead of the Nations League games at Empower Field in Denver, Colorado.
The biggest questions about head coach Gregg Berhalter’s roster will revolve around the starting center-forward (Josh Sargent is likely to get the go-ahead again) and players just behind the target striker. Will Brenden Aaronson or Gio Reyna give up their starting place for Pulisic?

United States vs. Honduras odds, prediction
Odds courtesy of DraftKings
History says the United States should win this game. USMNT have beaten Honduras in 12 of 17 all-time competitive matches and have won the last seven played on American soil.
Although they had their issues (up front, midfield and possession), expect a better American performance than the loss to 13th-place Switzerland. The Swiss are a strong team and the USMNT has certainly had heavy legs due to altitude training.
Hondurans, ranked No. 67 in the world, will seek to make life difficult for Americans. Expect the Central American side to set up a defensive wall and choose times to strike the United States in the counterattack.
For this reason, the attractive value bet on the board is under 2.5 total goals at +100. But if the United States scores early, it would be a good idea to bet live on the 3.5 goals. If Honduras continues the match at altitude, it will quickly fade in the second half and spaces will open up for the USMNT.
- Honduras to win: +1000
- Tie: +340
- United States to win: -275
- Total goals under 2.5: +100
- The two teams score: +112
- The United States wins by 1: +240
- The United States wins by 2: +295
- The United States wins at zero: +100
Prediction: The USA win by 1 or 2 goals.
