Stadia Pro becomes a free benefit for AT&T subscribers
Stadia Pro will now officially be a benefit for AT&T subscribers. In the latest partnership between Google and another large company, Stadia is used as a leverage tool to attract mobile customers.
Prior to AT&T, Google partnered with Verizon to offer free Stadia packs, which come with a Stadia Pro subscription for 90 days. Verizon also offered the Stadia version of Marvel’s The Avengers last year. So this is not the first time that Google has partnered with a wireless service provider to promote Stadia.
It might not be the last time either. It’s also Team Stadia’s third big announcement this week. Stadia Details Continued coming to Google TV and Android TV devices, and Rainbow Six Siege came to the service.
Stadia Pro will be free for AT&T wireless and fiber customers
This offer is not limited to wireless customers only. So if you have AT&T Fiber but not their mobile service, you can still land the deal.
Of course, however, there are certain requirements that must be met. To qualify for this promotion, AT&T wireless customers can be new or existing. However, you have to be on a specific plane. The plan will need to be unlimited and it appears that not all unlimited plans are eligible. Subscribers will therefore need to check with AT&T in their region.
Finally, the subscribers who are on an eligible plan will need to add or upgrade to a 5G smartphone. As for Fiber customers, this also extends to new and existing customers. If you are a new AT&T Fiber customer, you will need to purchase one of the following three plans. This includes 300 Mbps, 500 Mbps or 1 GIG speed plans.
If you are an existing AT&T Internet customer, you can upgrade to one of these three Fiber plans and qualify for the offer.
The Pro subscription remains free for six months
Stadia Pro costs $ 9.99 per month. Which isn’t that bad when you think about what you get. But that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be better if it just cost you nothing at all.
With this new promotion, eligible AT&T customers will be able to keep Stadia Pro free for six months. Which is double the time you get if you bought a Stadia package. One thing to keep in mind is that you can even stack those six months with the three months you get if you bought a bundle.
However, it’s not clear, so it’s something customers will want to check out.
