Nova Launcher 7 Beta now available on the Google Play Store

One of the most popular third-party Android launchers, Nova Launcher is ready for its next big release. Nova Launcher 7, aka Nova7, is now available in beta on the Google Play Store. The latest version, which was rewritten from scratch, brings tons of changes throughout.

The changelog on the Play Store mentions the visual refresh at the top. This is because there are major changes on this front. The new version is written on top of “Launcher3”, the standard Android launcher you see from Android Nougat. So it brings the latest aesthetic elements, including animations and visual styles of the stock launcher code. These may not be immediately noticeable unless you pay attention to the small details. But things will feel more modern with the latest version.

Earlier versions of Nova Launcher were built on Launcher2. It obligatory developers to work more to bring functionality to AOSP (Android Open Source Project). With Launcher3, Nova7 is expected to get new Android features sooner than before.

Nova Launcher 7 beta finally arrives on the Google Play Store

If you remember, this is not the first time that we have said that Nova Launcher 7 is available in beta. Technically, the new version was released in beta in January itself, when the company first announced it. However, this beta was available through Discord. So it was not easily accessible to many people who generally prefer to download apps only from the Play Store. This version therefore looks more like a public beta than the previous one.

Nonetheless, if you are one of those people who love Nova Launcher, go for the latest beta from the Play Store (link below). If you have not yet signed up for the beta program, click here. Check out this space for the stable public version of Nova Launcher 7.
