Meet the Razer Opus X, an affordable and stylish ANC headset
Razer today introduces a brand new headset to its already extensive audio collection, the Opus X, which launches today and is available at a much lower price than you might expect.
The launch of the Razer Opus X shows that Razer is committed to upholding its ideals of delivering stylish, high performance products. The most surprising is the price at which Razer offers them. As Razer products like this tend to be a bit more expensive.
The Opus X is the second Opus headset overall and the most recent product to achieve the “X” tag. Which Razer users to indicate a more affordable version of its products. Another product in this category that Razer recently launched is the Hammerhead True Wireless X. Although at the moment you can only get it in the UK.
The Razer Opus X launches for $ 99, and they’re available in three colors
Compared to the original Opus, the Opus X costs $ 99. Although you lose a feature or two by going for this model. As you earn a trio of fun colors (Mercury, Quartz, and Green) and pay a lower price, you also lose THX certification. What classic Opus headphones offer.
That being said, the Opus X still offers active noise cancellation. So you can block out the world and focus on what you are listening to. They also come with the 60ms low latency gaming mode. A feature the Opus doesn’t offer, as Razer wanted it to be more of an entertainment headset.
The Opus X also has two built-in microphones which Razer says work to provide “crystal-clear” voices for voice calls, in-game chat, and even video conferencing. If you find yourself using them in your weekly Zoom meetings.
Never miss important details with quick attention mode
One of the best features Razer has offered in recent audio products, like the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro, is the fast attention mode. Think of it as an ambient mode where it lets some sound flow into the headphones so you can hear your music while still hearing the things around you. It’s the perfect feature when you are at the store checkout. Or virtually anywhere you need to communicate.
You’ll also find it on the Opus X. So you can seamlessly switch between ANC mode and Quick Attention mode when you need it.
If you are looking to buy the Opus X, you can buy them in Mercury, Quartz, or Green at Razer website. One thing to note is that the Green model will be a Razer.com and Razer Store exclusive. The other two should eventually appear at other retailers.
