May is going to be a phenomenal month for Xbox Game Pass
Microsoft today announced the May titles that will be added to Xbox Game Pass, including Red Dead Online. The service will actually get a handful of new games added.
Red Dead Online, Rockstar’s online mode for Red Dead Redemption 2, has helped extend the life of the game. Similar to GTA Online as GTA V’s online counterpart. This is probably the biggest by far. title on Xbox Game Pass for the month in terms of popularity with a current player base.
Although by no means the only great title. And several headline releases this month bode well for Microsoft and subscribers.
Red Dead Online is joined by 9 more games for Xbox Game Pass in May
Red Dead Online is just the tip of the iceberg so to speak when it comes to Game Pass game releases this month. Microsoft will publish 9 other titles in all for the service. Which includes both Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster. These are actually two games, but they were merged into one title when the HD Remasters came out.
In addition to two of the most beloved Final Fantasy titles, Game Pass subscribers will also have access to FIFA 21, which is part of the EA Play compatibility this Game Pass acquired earlier this year.
There’s also Just Cause 4: Reloaded, Outlast 2, Dragon Quest Builders 2, Remnant From The Ashes, Psychonauts, and Steep. Please note that not all games will be available on all access points. For example, Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster will only be available to play from the console or PC. But not in the cloud.
Likewise, Red Dead Online will be available through the cloud and consoles but not on PC.
Games will land on the service throughout the month
Another key detail to consider if you’re excited about any of these releases is the arrival date of each game. Dragon Quest Builders 2 hits Xbox Game Pass on May 4. It’s tomorrow.
But all remaining titles are split between the May 6 and May 13 release dates. It will therefore be halfway through the previous month. all of May’s titles are accessible through their respective devices. On May 6, players will have access to FIFA 21, Outlast 2 and Steep. On May 13, players will have access to the rest of the titles, including Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD Remaster, Just Cause 4: Reloaded, Psychonauts, Red Dead Online, and Remnant From The Ashes.
