Kevin Durant of the Nets calls Jay Williams of ESPN for a story about KD, Giannis: “A fucking lie”

It looks like ESPN analyst Jay Williams and Nets star Kevin Durant are having some beef.

And it all comes from a story Williams told about Durant and Giannis Antekounmpo.

The day after the Victory of the Nets 125-86 against the Bucks, Williams recounted a time when Durant told him never to compare him to the Greek Freak. Here’s what Williams said about the encounter on “Get up” from ESPN Tuesday morning.

A few years ago we were at a holiday party and I came on this show and we did a segment where we had Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant. I said, ‘You know, if Anthony Davis and KD had a baby, the physical similarities would be like Giannis.’ I’m going to the Christmas party, Kevin Durant walks up to me and says, ‘Yo, never compare me to Giannis. Never compare me to Giannis.

I say, ‘KD, what are you talking about? I was just talking about the similarities in terms of physique, size, length. He’s like, ‘No. Never compare me to Giannis.

So when I see this match, you know what this match tells me? It’s something personal for Kevin Durant. He is the one he attacks every day. Because it was in his brain because people said Giannis was on the same level. That’s the kind of intensity you see in this rivalry.

The story was a lot of fun, right?

AFTER: How long has James Harden been away from the Nets?

Well, not according to Durant. In fact, he claimed it was completely wrong, as he said in an Instagram comment deleted since that Williams’ story is a “f — ing lie” and says that Williams can “NEVER speak” for him.

On top of that, the 32-year-old striker took to Twitter and started an NSFW sub-tweet about Williams and told him to ‘Keep me away from all those assholes talking about who (sic) better. “

Needless to say, Twitter appreciated Durant’s attempts to take down Williams and mocked the analyst.

How will Williams react? This will probably be the next part of this saga.

But if he doubles down, expect his budding feud with Durant to escalate.
