How to crush your enemies in all modes of Smash Legends
We’re going to tell you about all the different modes in Smash Legends, and how you can dominate in each of them. We’ve even suggested which character you should adopt in each mode and how you can work with your team to get the job done.
New players are sure to learn a lot about how Smash Legends works in this guide, and more seasoned veterans will likely find something that will cause them to rethink their strategies as well. So here is everything you need to know to crush your enemies in Smash Legends.
Crown Guard is a game mode that allows your team to take turns taking the crown. When you die, it passes to the next player. The first team to kill three crown bearers is the winner. It requires a decent mix of offense, defense, and mobility, so it’s important that you work with your team if you want to be successful.
If you are focusing on the defensive end, Kaiser is a great choice. He has very high HP that will keep him alive for much longer when he gets the crown, and he can buy time from other Legends to escape when they get the crown. It’s also helpful to remember not to take the health potion if you’re not the one with the crown.
A three-on-three kill-’em-up that sees two teams fighting to be the first to ten kills. More often than not, the team that works together will win, so playing with friends is a good way to make sure you’re already one step ahead. Also beware of the changing arena – the walls are moving and you might end up unloading your ultimate in one instead of an opposing legend.
Peter is a great character for Team Deathmatch – he’s fast and has strong offensive and defensive skills. His ultimate spinning attack can easily destroy an entire team if you have the right timing as well.
It’s a one-on-one fight to the death, so who you take into the fight depends in part on your personal preferences. It’s a good idea to take your strongest legend, and a great idea to take the legend you are most familiar with as well. It’s a good idea to always try to grab the health potion when it spawns, as the more HP you have, the more likely you are to win.
Our personal choice for Duel is Hook. Her ranged abilities mean she can keep an attacker at bay while charging for her special moves, and her ultimate attack is more than enough to bore an opponent into submission.
This is going to be familiar to anyone who has played a battle royale game before. There’s a shrinking arena and chests full of loot – candy in this case – that make you more powerful. You’re alone in the arena, so be sure to poke fun at the candy at the start of the match to toughen yourself up.
Red is the perfect choice for this mode because it’s super fast and deals massive damage. Use your ultimate to become invisible when you see someone opening a crate or picking up candy, then surprise them with a massive attack that will leave them lying on their backs.
The most important thing to remember in Dominion is that whoever controls the center of the map is going to win. Don’t go chasing victims and abandon your team, and don’t charge solo just to get killed right away. Stick together to make sure you’re as strong as possible.
A great character for this mode is Cindy. She has a very powerful recoil attack as a second weapon and she can clear the point of dominance fairly quickly. Follow him with your ultimate to kill a team before they really know what’s going on.
In this mode, you have to focus on collecting all the fruits. You should only engage the enemy when they’re trying to stop you from doing so – running around trying to kill them is a waste of time. If you’re playing with friends, one of you should be concentrating on harvesting while the others are focusing on their defense.
Witch Queen is a brilliant legend for the supporting role, as she has decent crowd control abilities that can leave the combine free to work. An enemy facing you? Well just turn them into a frog with your ultimate attack.
