Almost all investors know this inflation has arrived. The open question is: how long will this last?
CNBC International surveyed 30 top market strategists to find out their views on inflation, a key factor the U.S. Federal Reserve will assess to determine whether it should allow money to flow easily through the markets. markets.
Under the so-called Fed accommodative monetary policy, the central bank stimulates the money supply by hanging up long-term bonds free market and keeping interest rates down. More money in circulation usually means a more vibrant economy – and higher stock prices.
Policy makers are also forecasting when they expect the Fed to announce a timeline for the withdrawal of stimulus measures and how they expect markets to react when that news arrives.
CNBC offered anonymity to strategists in exchange for their views. All 30 were based in Asia or the United States, and the poll was held May 17-21.
