There has been a rush for electric vehicles and investors are racking up money in green cars and the batteries that power them – but one of the top investment strategists says he’s avoiding the industry for now .
As more people jump on the electric train, experts predict that global penetration of electric cars could exceed 80% by 2040. The demand for batteries for electric vehicles is also expected to increase.
David Roche, who correctly predicted the Asian financial crisis of 1997 and the global financial crisis of 2008, explains why he does not invest directly in electric vehicle manufacturers and battery producers at this time.
