Ciri seeks to understand in the first teaser of season 2 of The Witcher

Besides the announcement of WitcherCon, Netflix just released a teaser for The Witcher season 2. The teaser is a very short TV spot for the show, so you don’t have a full trailer. At least not yet.

Yet it does its job and it does it well. What is the job? To get people excited about the upcoming second season of one of Netflix’s most popular shows of all time. And it seems to do it with very little effort.

Netflix Geeked launched the teaser clip on its Twitter page about an hour ago at the time of writing, and it’s already amassed around 4.8,000 likes. Suffice it to say, fans seem definitely excited about what’s to come. In addition to this teaser, it is possible that other teasers will air at WitcherCon when it launches next month. So this is something that fans of the show will want to catch.

The Witcher season 2 teaser gives Ciri another look

Ciri may not be the main character of the series, but she is a focal point and a central character in the overall story. In the teaser, you kind of get a more in-depth look at how Ciri plays in the story expansion for the second season of the show.

Many of the main characters in the series will be played by the same people from the first season. This includes Ciri, played by Freya Allan. Henry Caville will also reprise his role as Geralt of Rivia, and Anya Charolta will play Yennefer again.

The second season will also see a collection of new characters arriving. Including Paul Bullion of Peaky Blinders and Kristofer Hivju, who plays Tormund Giantsbane in Game Of Thrones.

Netflix will launch the second season of The Witcher at some point this year, but it has yet to announce an official date. But it wouldn’t be surprising to see it premiere later than soon. However, filming for Season 2 ended in early April of this year. It is therefore possible that the show will appear in the near future. Maybe on the occasion of WitcherCon?
