Apple’s M1 chip is now part of the iPad Pro range
And that’s far from the only upgrade to the new tablet models unveiled at today’s special event.
Both tablets have a Thunderbolt / USB-C port to access a number of additional accessories such as displays and storage.
You can also buy an iPad Pro with a 5G connection and up to 2TB of storage.
Both tablets also feature significantly improved camera systems. The TrueDepth front camera is now a 12MP ultra-wide model with the new Center Stage functionality. During video calls, this will use machine learning from the M1 processor to keep the user centered in the frame.
In the larger 12.9-inch iPad Pro, Apple unveils the new Liquid Retina XDR display. It’s the same screen as the Pro Display XDR and features improved brightness and more.
You can order the new iPad Pro models starting Friday, April 30. They will land in May. The 11-inch model starts at $ 799 while the 12.9-inch version starts at $ 999.
